Ho Oponopono is simple. It is far from easy.

When I first started implementing the practice of Ho Oponopono in my life I used it on very basic things. I wasn’t sure if it would fit in with my person beliefs. I like the idea that I would allow me to be 100% responsible for my actions. Further to that Ho Oponopono mandates that if we create our own reality then we are responsible for everything that shows up in it. Last time I checked, everything, means everything, both the good and the bad.

My Ho Oponopono journey begins last year around this time. I was on a trip back to my hometown that would take about 14hrs by car. I began to listen to the book “Zero Limits” by Joe Vitale. I was intrigued by the “I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you” . To me it sounded simple and didn’t require anything wacky.  So I took a memory that I had regarding a certain teacher I had that was difficult to deal with. He was rude and condescending to me, just an insulting jerk. (at least that’s what I remembered him as).

I took that memory of him and begin to “clear” it back to “zero”.  I held that feeling (feelings become memories) and stated to God ( you can use who ever floats your boat) and just repeated, I’m sorry,  (not to the teacher but to God who resides in me  and remember there is no out there) I love you, please forgive me, thank you. All I did was repeat the mantra over and over until the feeling of hurt that I had in my memory regarding that teacher no longer hurt.

I was thrilled! Over the next 13 hours or so I proceeded to clear on any event from school that had plagued me  ( I graduated from highschool in 1980).  I cleared on the memories of pain in the butt fellow students, enemies, friends that betrayed me. You name it I cleared on it. By the end of that trip I no longer had any painful memories that related to highschool.

I was amazed and thrilled. What else would clearing work on???
