A few people have been asking about progress with the eraser cleaning method for cleaning of memories back to zero. Just in case you have no clue what the eraser method is:
Here is a brief recap:
Get any pencil that has an eraser on one end. Write down a name, place, or anything that needs to be cleaned. In my case I made a list of things that bothered me or made me angry. Every time you think of it or see your list and just tap it and saying I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you. This clears the memory in me that participates in the event (because I am responsible for it) back to zero state.
Now for my update -
My list had the following items on it. In the order that I wrote it but not the order of importance….
- get a steady income
- a new home
- get off my prescription medicine
- go deeper
That last one seems weird, but what I meant was that I want more out of life, to be able to be a more grounded person, to not let the mundane things of life torment me. (make sense?)
So after almost 4 months here is my result.
“Get a steady income” – I don’t have a job yet but I am way less anxious and bent out of shape about the result – I am going to adjust this and make it more specific.
“A new home” – I don’t own one yet but i have moved from my apartment to a house that I share – much grander accommodations and 2 bathrooms… woo hoo!.
“Get off my prescription medicine” – A quantifiable YES!! I had been on some wicked stuff for 6 years. It wasn’t easy but I am now drug free and very grateful. That by itself was 2 months in the making. Now I know what addiction means.
“Go deeper” – An ongoing process that until yesterday I thought nothing had changed. But after spending some time with some people I had not seen in a while I know that I am not the same person I was 4 months ago. (more on this in another blog)
Things didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to. However, I have changed. and I am worth it!
Next !
I am going to revise my list and keep on tapping.
